a secure mode, it is important to be aware that you are on a secure
page. You can easily tell that you are on a secure page by the following
1- When the letters "http" in the URL change to "https" the "s" indicates
you are in a secure area employing SSL.
2- Depending on the browser, you will see either a padlock (Microsoft
Internet Explorer, AOL, Netscape Communicator) or a solid key (Netscape
Navigator) in the lower section of the browser window.
When you see that are on a secure page, be assured that that your information
is secure and you can safely enter your payment details.
If you do not see one of these icons, it may be that your browser is
not up to date and does not support SSL. you can get an upgrade at
Microsoft's or Netscape's home page.
Only browsers that use the 128-bit Secure Socket Layer protocol are
able to order online through the Northwind Farms website.
